What everyone asks before starting.

What kind of applications can you build?
Practically anything that runs on a computer: calculation tools, control dashboards, editors, viewers, automation for repetitive tasks, conversion utilities or programs that talk to a device connected over USB.
Why a desktop app and not a website?
Because the desktop gives direct access to the file system, to peripherals and to the machine's full power, and it works offline. If your case calls for access from anywhere, we will tell you the web is the better fit.
Does it work on Mac or Linux?
Java is cross-platform, so in many cases yes. The main target is Windows, and if you need more systems it is factored into the quote.
Is there a monthly fee?
Not by default. You pay for the development once and the program is yours. Ongoing support is contracted separately if you want it.
Can several people work at the same time?
Yes, if the project calls for it. The data can live on a shared machine or on your own server so several workstations work against it.
